A Universe of Stories Summer Reading Club! Sign up for, & learn more about, the Club beginning June 1 at dcls.org/src! Read your way across your universe, meet space bugs, learn about the cosmos & maybe experience a close encounter with an alien!

Storytimes & Discovery Program Registration Begins Session 3: Registration begins Tuesday, March 19, Session begins April 1 Session 4: Registration begins Tuesday, May 21, Session begins June 3 Session 5: Registration begins Tuesday, July 2, Session begins July 15 Session 6: Registration begins Tuesday, September 3, Session begins September 16 Registration begins for five-week sessions at The Library that focus on topics including reading, math, science, art & financial education. Teen Nights Thursdays, April 4, May 2, June 6, August 1 & September 5 at 6:00 pm Spend the evening exploring different activities, arts & crafts, trying new tech toys & more!

Upcycle Book Journals Monday, April 8 at 6:00 pm We’ll create a journal by adding writing paper & embellishments to a Reader’s Digest Condensed book. All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring materials of their own for embellishment.

Novel Thoughts Book Club Tuesdays, April 9, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6 & September 3 at 6:30 pm - or - Novel Thoughts, Too! Book Club Tuesdays, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20 & September 17 at 1:00 pm Join other book lovers for a monthly book discussion. Books are determined by participants. Friends of Alexander Family Library Tuesdays, April 9 & July 9 at 6:30 pm We invite all library lovers to join us as we plan fundraising events, programs for the library, & give suggestions to aid in the selection of materials for the library.

2nd Wednesday Cinema Wednesdays, April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14 & September 11 at 6:00 pm Join us for a monthly film series that features international films. Call The Library for more information or to find out what film will be shown each month.

Springtime Sprouts Thursday, April 11 at 6:00 pm Flowers & books are blooming! Plant a flower to take with you after we read books & do crafts & activities. Arrive a few minutes early & visit the programming room or children’s desk to receive a ticket for the program. Tickets are limited to the first 25 kids. Recommended for kids 3 years & older, but families with children of all ages are welcome.

All Aboard the RMS Titanic Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 pm Come aboard the Titanic as one of the passengers & experience what it was like to travel on this majestic vessel. “Cruise directors” will take you on a visual tour while talking about the facts of the doomed voyage.

Crazy for Coloring Mondays, April 29, May 20, June 24, July 29, August 26 & September 30 at 6:00 pm Coloring generates wellness & stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses & creativity. Coloring sheets & pencils provided. Feel free to bring your coloring tools with you.
