LONDONDERRY ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

The Londonderry Athletic Association currently supports boys baseball ages 5-12 playing in the Lower Dauphin Baseball League and girls slow-pitch softball ages 5–18 playing in the Suburban League. The coaches are dedicated volunteers who teach basic skills to the T-ball teams and prepare the older athletes to play at the High School level. The four home fields located at Sunset Park, 2401 Sunset Drive, are some of the most beautiful in the area, offering a large concession stand and playgrounds close to the ball fields.

Girls 18 and Under

Runner-Up National Champions

Dave Roeting (Hummelstown) & Bill McGee (Londonderry)

Six members of the All Star team above play for the L.A.A. in the

regular season, coached by Bill McGee

The 18 and Under Girls All-Star team is made up of girls throughout the Suburban League who play in various tournaments throughout the state after the regular season ends.  The 2006 team won the PA State Championship, qualifying them to play in the National Championship Tournament held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, July 27-29.  The girls remained undefeated going into the championship game.  It was a double elimination tournament and unfortuantely they lost their first game and were forced to play a second game, which they also lost, landing them the title of Runner-Up National Champions!  The girls had a memorable experience traveling together and playing softball against some of the best teams in the nation, none of which would have happened if not for their love of the game and Bill McGee and Dave Roting, two very dedicated coaches. Congratulations Girls!
